The Di Domenico brothers, Rocque, Tarquin and Marcus, collectively have nearly one hundred years of experience in jewellery design and the art of hand fabricating precious metal jewellery. Originally from Johannesburg, the brothers relocated to the USA where they established two studios in Florida and have since become well known for their craft from Miami through to Chicago and from the west coast to the east coast of the USA.

Through out the world, their exclusive work has been appreciated by royalty, presidents, first ladies, mayors and many of the most famous Hollywood actors such as Tom Cruis, John Travolta, Oliver Reed and many more.
The third studio opened in Hillcrest in February last year where Tarquin is  now creating a new range of exclusive jewellery and watches for export and our local market  using a mix of American, European and African design concepts.

South Africa’s own process of invisible setting and first of its kind in the world was developed by Tarquin through an electro chemical means of attaching diamonds or gems of any type to gold or platinum. Tarquin has since developed and is now introducing a new white precious metal to the world called Ptag 8. The metal has been developed to meet the demand for white metal jewellery at more affordable prices.

At almost a quarter the cost of white gold, Ptag 8 is an alloy made of platinum and silver which has similar properties to palladium base white gold.

Ptag 8 does not crack like the less expensive nickel based white gold alloys and it will not tarnish like sterling silver. It has a rich white colour that doesn’t require rhodium plating.
